Overview: PCS was chosen as the completion contractor by Western Surety for this FDOT project. The project consisted of reconstruction and widening of 4.8 miles of roadway from 2 to 3 lanes in each direction as well as a 10’ wide Shared Use Path running the entire length of the project.
Major components of the project performed by PCS include:
- 185,000 SY – Asphalt Base
- 41,000 TONS – Traffic Level C Asphalt
- 12,000 TONS – FC 5 Friction Course
- 168 EA – Drainage Structures
- 13,200 LF – Drainage Pipe ranging in size from 48”x76” to 18”
- 32,000 LF – Curb & Gutter
- 11,000 SY – Concrete Sidewalk
Subcontracted work includes:
- Lighting and Signalization – 4 Intersections
- ITS Installation – Project Length
- Pavement Markings – 140 Miles
- Signing – 361 EA
